A magnetic pole detector is a device used to detect magnetic fields and determine polarity. A Hall effect sensor can detect a magnetic field by generating a voltage output proportional to its strength. A detector can be made by connecting the sensor to the  power source and voltmeter, and observing changes in voltage output to determine the polarity of the magnetic field.

WHAT IS HALL EFFECT SENSOR?

A Hall effect sensor is a type of magnetic sensor that detects the presence of a magnetic field  by using the Hall effect principal, which is a phenomenon in physics where a magnetic field affects the movement of electrons in a conductive material. The sensor consists of a thin strip of semiconductor material with a small amount of impurities added to create a p-n junction or n-p junction. When  magnetic field is applied perpendicular to  direction of the electric current flowing in the semiconductor material, then electric field is generated and that produces a voltage output proportional to the strength of the magnetic field. this Hall effect sensors are used in a variety of applications, including automotive, aerospace, and medical devices.

HALL EFFECT SENSOR Pinout

Hall Effect Sensor Pinout

The pinout of a Hall effect sensor may vary depending on the specific model or manufacturer. However, most Hall effect sensors have three pins: Vcc, GND, and OUT.

Vcc: is the power supply pin and is usually connected to a positive voltage source (e.g., +5V or +12V).

GND: is the ground pin and is usually connected to the negative terminal of the power supply.

OUTPUT : output pin and provides the voltage output signal that is proportional to the strength of the magnetic field. The voltage output can be either analog or digital, depending on the sensor's specifications. In some cases, the sensor may have additional pins for features such as temperature compensation or sensitivity adjustment.

It is important to refer to the datasheet or manufacturer's specifications for the specific pinout and operating characteristics of a particular Hall effect sensor.

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

Magnetic Pole Detector Circuit Diagram

In this diagram you can see, We have use Hall Effect sensor which have three terminal.

One terminal (+5vcc) of battery have connected 7805 Voltage Regulator and 0.5uF capacitor and now we connected through one of the  terminal  of hall effect sensor. Another terminal of battery is connected through ground terminal Voltage Regulator. Now connect middle terminal of hall effect sensor directly through voltage regulator. Now connect third terminal of hall effect through red led and ground terminal of voltage regulator.
